You can find all the important information about our group's educational activities on the following page, and access their corresponding public materials.

Project Lab Topics

The list of available self-study topics for the current semester can be found on the the website of IIT department for interested students. The independent laboratory is a part of getting to know the chosen topic and technology, so prior knowledge of image processing or deep learning is not necessary for registration. The issued topics can be distinguished by research level. A low research-level self-study topic is mainly about getting familiar with a known technology and solving a development task, so it is closer to industrial work, while a high research-level task is more about conducting experiments related to an interesting new solution, which can be easily used for a thesis. IMPORTANT: THE RESEARCH LEVEL IS NOT RELATED TO THE DIFFICULTY OF THE TOPIC!

Of course, you can also reach out to us with unique ideas, in which case you can use the following topics as a reference point.

Project lab topics

This could include the development of mobile robots or self-driving vehicles, or the creation of visual systems necessary for their operation (object detection, obstacle avoidance, SLAM).

The topic of intelligent vision can include practically any image or video-based processing procedure that is not specifically classified in the previous topic.

It is possible to work with various artificial intelligence-based image generation methods (such as NeRF or GAN-based methods), or even with different applications of differential rendering.

Our important focus is reinforcement learning, which enables the training of autonomous agents to solve tasks in a given environment.

Finally, we also deal with general issues of learning algorithms, such as hyperparameter optimization (using RL, evolutionary, or other methods), or developing efficient, good generalization solutions.

Courses

In the following section, you can find information about the courses taught by our group. You can access the Exam/Final Exam topics for different years (you always take the Final Exam for the version of the course that you have attended). The lecture notes and slides are protected materials, so you need to contact the responsible person for the specific course to obtain them.
